한 분이신 주께서 (The Same God) | Feast Family

[Mercy Seat : 은혜의 보좌] “그러므로 우리는 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라.” (히브리서 4:16) ‘은혜의 보좌’는 ‘시은좌’(Mercy Seat), 곧 ‘은혜의 자리’를 의미합니다. 이는 언약궤 위의 두 그룹 사이, 속죄소를 가리키며(출애굽기 25:22), 하나님의 임재 처소로서 이곳에서 하나님께서 이스라엘 백성의 죄를 용서하고 은혜를 베푸신 데서 유래된 표현입니다. 구약에서는 대제사장이 백성의 죄를 대신하여 이 은혜의 보좌 앞에 나아갈 때 그들의 죄가 사함을 받았는데, 이는 신약에서 대제사장이신 예수 그리스도 앞에 나오는 자는 누구든지 죄사함의 은혜를 누리게 됨을 보여 줍니다(히브리서 4:14-16). 그러므로 히브리서 기자는 “그러므로 우리는 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라”라고 이야기합니다. “은혜의 보좌 [施恩座, throne of grace]” (라이프성경사전, 2006. 8. 15., 가스펠서브) 그 임재와 긍휼의 자리로 잔치공동체와 함께 담대히 나아갑시다. [Mercy Seat: The Throne of Grace] "Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:16) The "Throne of Grace" refers to the "Mercy Seat," the place of grace. It signifies the atonement cover between the two cherubim above the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25:22), where God’s presence dwelled and where He granted forgiveness and mercy to the people of Israel. In the Old Testament, the high priest would approach this Mercy Seat on behalf of the people to atone for their sins. This foreshadowed the New Testament, where Jesus Christ, our great High Priest, grants forgiveness and grace to all who come before Him (Hebrews 4:14-16).
